Xiaomi Launches Master Class Series on Mobile Photography

Nov 2, 2021

World renown photographers will come together to share their knowledge with Xiaomi fans and beyond.

Master Class

Xiaomi officially announced the launch of the Xiaomi Master Class series. The new educational project will bring together professional photographers specializing in different fields such as portrait photography, street photography, monochrome photography, allowing them to share their experiences with wider audiences.

Xiaomi has been dedicated to bringing quality devices with pro-grade mobile photography features, offering everyone a toolkit that would allow them to express their creativity to the fullest. The first season of Xiaomi Master Class will see professional photographers share their mobile photography insights, and more importantly, talk about why they decided to pick up the craft and how they found their personal style – all within the segment called “The Moments That Made Me”.

The first master to share his “moments” is Charlie Clift, professional portrait photographer. He has dangled CEOs upside down, gone undercover with the police, set Michelin star chefs on fire and discussed peace with Nobel Prize winners – all in pursuit of a great photograph. His drive is to tell personal stories with a twist of the unexpected.

He works globally for a range of editorial and commercial clients and his work has been published and exhibited widely. In his Xiaomi Master Class he will walk users through the whole process of taking a portrait from inspiration, preparation, setting and how to work together with the model.

Besides Charlie Clift’s online Xiaomi Master Class, Xiaomi will also host several offline events allowing audiences to meet masters face to face and learn from them in a more immersive setting.

In my opinion

The true power of a brand lies in the power of the community that uses its products. Some entrepreneurs call them customers. Others consider them members of their own family. Family members who protect them, help them develop, foster personal experiences, teach them how to be more productive.

The traditional school is outdated in many ways. The pace at which society’s expectations develop is greater than the adaptability of the traditional school. People who perform in certain fields have participated in optional courses where they have come into contact with recent information and innovative attitudes. I’m not saying traditional school is useless. I’m just saying it’s insufficient.

Through this course Xiaomi behaves like a wise parent educating his children. It allows them to learn from people who have been successful with Xiaomi brand products.
