Lei Jun head of Xiaomi has stated that they are working on a new Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 smartphone and would also be ramping up the production of current Mi Mix.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 it will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The basic principle for the in-display fingerprint sensor is that a small part of the screen can be set as a fingerprint reader. When the user press that portion of the display it acts like a fingerprint scanner. There was a fingerprint reader placed at the back of the device which will now be replaced with new in-display fingerprint scanner.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 should feature a 99% screen coverage across the front. One of the great disappointments of Xiaomi fans since its launch Xiaomi Mi Mix was that took into account their desire on the screen. The same issue is raised again Xiaomi fans in China. They want to occupy 99.9% of the screen smartphone front.
Until now we have two important clues. It remains to see if they will confirm.
